ABOUT
I’m James Furman — interior and product photographer with an editorial eye and a process built around precision and obsessive attention to detail.
The images I make aren’t documentation. They’re a considered response to a space — finding the underlying structure, the relationships between light and form, the thought the designer put in that most people walk straight past. That’s what ends up in the frame.
My process is methodical and thorough. You won’t get small talk on set, but you will get complete focus and images that are genuinely ready for publication. Clients who value craft over chat tend to find we work well together.
Every shoot is deliberately lit from scratch — I don’t rely on whatever the room gives me. That’s what gives the work its consistency and mood. Each frame is precisely composed and retouched to a standard most photographers don’t bother with. Not because I’m trying to impress. Because I can’t do it any other way.
Client work spans interior brands, furniture manufacturers, and music industry clients including Warner Music Group.
This isn’t bland interior photography. If you take your craft seriously and want images that match that seriousness — I’d like to hear from you.
